Scottish Council on Archives (SCA) provides leadership for the archives and records management sector in Scotland. The SCA builds national and international partnerships, deliver strategic advice and research, and develop projects spanning stakeholder engagement, education, and quality improvement. Their vision is to lead Scotland’s archives and records management community in order to inspire and inform the nation. The organisation is now looking for a Director to build on the strategic direction of SCA, further strengthen partnership working within the sector and beyond, and develop services and realise their full potential for users.

The role

SCA is seeking a Director to provide organisational leadership, reinforce strategic direction and ensure successful, focused project delivery. Of key importance is the delivery of the Scotland Online project. The successful candidate will have effective fundraising experience and knowledge of the culture and heritage sector. The candidate will also have managerial experience, excellent interpersonal and influential skills, capable of influencing key decision makers and inspiring a team of staff and volunteers. Scottish Council on Archives is an equal opportunity employer and SCA is committed to ensuring diversity and gender equality within the organisation.
