Bodleian Libraries are looking for a qualified archivist with a passion for making collections accessible. Based at the recently refurbished Weston Library in central Oxford, the successful candidate will join a large team of archivists, archives assistant and volunteers in the Bodleian’s Special Collections department. Working largely independently, the successful candidate will undertake a series of cataloguing projects according to 'more product less process' principles, produce project plans and project costings and take responsibility for the day-to-day care and security of the collections. The succesful candidate will also encourage use and awareness of the collections through various means including seminars, events, blogging etc. and present collections and projects to senior university officers and visiting VIPs as required.
This position is fixed term for 19 months. Only applications received online before 12.00 midday on Thursday 24 August 2017 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 7 September or Friday 8 September 2017.
