The Bedern Group is an alliance of the key agencies concerned with the preservation of the intellectual record of the historic environment of the UK, convened under the auspices of the Digital Preservation Coalition, and comprising the Archaeology Data Service, Historic England, Historic Environment Scotland and RCAHMW.
On 30th November, International Digital Preservation Day, the Bedern Group invites DPC members to join them in celebrating the launch of their Bedern Declaration for digital preservation.
Taking place at Tanner Row in York, attendees will hear from a short programme of speakers, as follows, before enjoying a drink and piece of cake:
- A welcome to Tanner Row (Sarah Middleton/Paul Wheatley)
- An introduction to the DPC and to IDPD17 (William Kilbride, pre-recorded)
- An exploration of the Declaration (Bedern Group attendee)
- Thanks to the Bedern Group (DPC Board Member)
