In the context of the celebration of the International Digital Preservation Day 2017, the Public Central Library of Serres is hosting a lecture by Mr Panagiotis Papageorgiou, PhD candidate at the University of Portsmouth.

Who said that digital files will be forever? What could possibly be done to preserve them for posterity? This would be a thoughtful and thought-provoking lecture on the preservation of our digital heritage. Intended audience: Archivists, archaeologists, Information and Communication Technologies scientists, librarians.

This is a free event taking place on the 3rd floor of the Public Central Library of Serres. Certificates of attendance will be distributed upon completion of the lecture.
