The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has a position available in the Digital Preservation unit at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration for a GS-0301-13 Senior Digital Preservation Specialist/Analyst.

As a Senior Digital Preservation Specialist/Analyst, you will:

  • Advise the Director and Deputy Director of Digital Preservation in the ongoing development, implementation, and operation of the digital preservation program as well as on recommendations for the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies, technologies, and procedures.

  • Contribute to, develop, and review proposals for the development and implementation of changes in NARA's digital preservation strategies, technologies, strategy, policies, guidance, processes, and procedures.

  • Participate in the coordination of digital preservation responsibilities and development of original training content related to the management and ongoing preservation of electronic record holdings.

  • Analyze, develop, and propose appropriate strategies, risk criteria, and standards for the preservation of electronic record holdings.

  • Gather, interpret, and analyze highly complex data to discern patterns, trends, and relationships to draw conclusions about digital collections.
