Share your DPC RAM Assessment with us!

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has opened its annual collection period for member RAM (Rapid Assessment Model) assessments⁠⁠. DPC Members are invited to submit their assessments from today through Monday, June 9th.

Each year we encourage members to carry out a self-assessment using the DPC Rapid Assessment Model (RAM) and share the results with the DPC. By collating member data annually, we can create benchmarking information to help you plan your digital preservation work and inform our own member-support activities.

DPC Releases Report on Mental Health and Wellbeing in Digital Preservation

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is pleased to announce the publication of the Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Digital Preservation Community Survey Report.

The digital preservation workforce, being an emerging profession with highly distributed practitioners who often work in relative isolation, may be vulnerable to experiencing workplace issues that impact mental health and wellbeing. There is a growing amount of anecdotal evidence to support this suggestion as well as responses to the 2021 NDSA Staffing Survey highlighting the high levels of stress experienced by practitioners due to issues such as unrealistic workloads, fragmented roles, and the ongoing advocacy burden of digital preservation.

Call for Applicants: DPC Grant for IS&T Archiving 2025 in Granada

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is pleased to offer a Career Development Fund grant for a DPC member to attend the Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) Archiving 2025 Conference (#Archiving2025), taking place in person in Granada, Spain, June 24-27, 2025.

This Career Development Fund grant will cover 100% of the registration fee for the conference registration and provide a contribution towards travel and accommodation. Grant applications are welcomed from DPC members until 07:00 UTC on 25 March 2025, and more details are provided below.
