Organised by the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London in collaboration with the University of Venice IUAV and Italian broadcaster RAI, ‘Future-proof AV content for education and research’ covers the main issues and challenges surrounding the digital preservation of audiovisual content in the academic domain. The 2 half day Presto4U workshop will take place on 6th - 7th November at IUAV University of Venice & RAI, Venice, Italy

This free workshop will bring together two of the emerging Communities of Practice identified within the Presto4U project, Learning & Teaching repositories and Research & Scientific Collections. Presenting a series of case studies and talks from experts within the field, including the ‘Spotlight on the Digital’ asset impact and discovery project, this Presto4U event will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about such topics as digitisation, AV formats and transcoding, metadata, as well as gaining a broader knowledge of building business justification through uses cases and workflow analysis. There will also be plenty of networking opportunities and an overview of the Presto4U project outcomes.
