The Digital Preservation Coalition is pleased to offer two scholarships to members for distance learning courses offered by the Department of Information Studies at the University of Aberystwyth, starting April 2017. These scholarships are aimed at early-career professionals or those who have recently moved into the field.

The Department of Information Studies at the University of Aberystwyth is an established leading provider of information and library studies courses, offering 25 years’ experience in delivering distance learning. Courses are intended to be flexible and student-centred with excellent academic and pastoral support. Scholarship recipients will be able to choose from one of four relevant short courses (listed below) and will be asked to indicate their preference on their application.

  • DS35010 Digital Information: Discovery to Delivery (undergraduate 10 credits)
  • DSM7510 Digital Information: Discovery to Delivery (postgraduate 10 credits)
  • DSM6010 Digital Preservation (postgraduate 10 credits)
  • DSM8520 Compliance Law & Ethics (postgraduate 20 credits)

Participation in the short courses costs £450 for a 10-credit course and £800 for a 20-credit course. The Digital Preservation Coalition is pleased to offer two scholarships which meet the full cost of course fees. Applications are welcomed from all DPC members and associates.
