As you may know, the DPTP programme of courses in digital preservation has been run for several years as part of University of London Computer Centre (ULCC). In recent months a restructure has meant a change of department and the DPTP team are now working under a new name, CoSector – University of London. The DPTP programme will still be bringing you training in all things digital preservation, with the same course tutors of Ed Pinsent and Steph Taylor, and will still be based at the University of London.

CoSector, University of London is pleased to announce the latest instance of its face-to-face course, ‘DPTP: Digitisation – from project management to access'.

Course Overview

The course will cover the basics of digitisation, from the initial planning through project management to protecting and preserving the resulting digital assets for the long term. It explores preparation, project management, equipment/outsourcing, workflows and policies. It will also look at metadata, copyright and licensing, and managing access to the digitised content.
