Breaking new ground exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Block Chain and other emerging technologies. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be joining a small high energy and innovative team to deliver proof of concepts, demonstrators and innovative solutions. Your focus will be a on quick turnaround using a wide range of technologies, getting to understand the possibilities these offer and using your imagination to create ways to demonstrate these internal and external parties.
The technical skills required are wide and likely to get wider. Preservica's system is developed in Java hosted in Tomcat but you should also understand how to use APIs and to write interfaces between systems. A thorough understanding of how to manipulate information held in XML and file base unstructured data is essential. It would be great if you could show examples of similar innovation work you have completed.
Requirements:
To be part of Preservica you need:
- Bsc, MSc or PhD level education in an engineering / software / system related subject or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience.
- Good knowledge of Java, Tomcat, XML
- A solid understanding of API’s
- A broad knowledge of current technology and how to apply it.
- Be familiar with Agile development practices
- RDMS experience an advantage

- Be creative, imaginative and open to possibilities
- Be personable, able to tell a good story and deliver proof of concepts
