Job description

The University of Sussex is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Library in this stimulating and challenging new role to manage the development of innovative digital infrastructure to support University strategy in the areas of research infrastructure and digital scholarship.

He/she will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Library and across the University to:

  • Project manage the implementation of the University’s new Research Information System (RIS)
  • Manage the ongoing administration and development of the RIS, as well as existing repositories (Eprints and Figshare)
  • Lead on the Library’s technical support for the REF
  • Manage the delivery of a digital preservation solution for the University
  • Lead on innovations in emerging areas such as open publishing and the Library’s collaboration with the Sussex Humanities Lab

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of systems to support research, as well as experience in project management and an ability to develop strong professional network both within the institution and externally.
