Job description

The Library holds approximately 60,000 items of rare and unique sound recordings within its collections, requiring specialised skills and equipment in order to care for them and make them available to the public as part of our service.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for somebody to gain hands-on experience of working with analogue and digital sound collections in the Library.  We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in audio heritage with a respect for the fragility of the collections and their preservation, and someone with enthusiasm to learn new skills.

This post will be based at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow. It is anticipated that interviews will be held in the week commencing 4th March 2019.

  • Part time – 30 hours per week
  • Fixed term – For 12 months
  • Salary - £17,693 Civil Service Pension
