One of the challenges of working in a dynamic and evolving field such as digital preservation is the sheer volume of relevant papers and articles that are published every year. It can be a huge challenge for those of us working in this field to find out about these publications, let alone find the time to read them and absorb the contents.

The DPC Reading Club is here to help you with this challenge! It will not only signpost you to some interesting reading but also provides a place for a friendly chat about the text with other members of the community.

In our next DPC Reading Club session we will discuss an article from The American Archivist by Max Eckard, Elizabeth Gadelha and Mike Shallcross. In this paper, published in 2022, the authors share their experiences with, and lessons learned from, a series of four collaborative technical skills development initiatives, and provide information and best practices that will enable and empower other institutions to undertake similar initiatives. They conclude by making the case for organizational cultures that value learning together.
