#DPClinic is an informal online space to discuss a popular digital preservation topic. #DPClinic sessions take place at the same time, same place as #DPConnect, at 1400 UK time, on the last Friday of each month. Participants are invited to bring questions, queries and challenges on the relevant topic, as well as stories of what has worked well for them; or alternatively just listen in to the discussion.
In December's session we will talk about:
The concept of Designated Community is central to OAIS and to certification standards such as CoreTrustSeal. In this #DPClinic session we will discuss the concept of designated communities, what it means and why it is important. After an introduction from Hervé L'Hours (UK Data Archive and vice-chair of the CoreTrustSeal Board), there will be a chance for Q&A and discussion and attendees will be invited to share their own experiences of defining and working with their own designated community.
#DPConnect and #DPClinic are available to everyone in the digital preservation community, DPC Members and non-members alike, provided all participants are respectful and supportive of one another and adhere to the DPC's Inclusion and Diversity Policy.
Themed #DPClinics take place on the last Friday of the month at 1400 GMT (click for local times).
