The Digital Preservation Coalition is looking for volunteers who are willing and able to share their digital preservation workflows in a 20-minute online demonstration or presentation as part of our 'Workflow Webinars' series, which is planned to take place in early February 2025.

Please get in touch if you have:

  • developed an ingest/pre-ingest workflow (especially ingest-at-scale/bulk ingest)
  • developed a workflow for migrating data between systems (e.g. between digipres systems)
  • developed a workflow for ingesting data from a collaborative working environment (e.g. Sharepoint, MS365, GoogleDocs etc.)
  • developed a workflow for ingesting born-digital data
  • developed a web archiving workflow
  • found a way to automate or incorporate AI into your workflows
  • developed a workflow to synchronize metadata between different systems (e.g. catalogues, DP systems, access systems)
  • developed a workflow to manage specific content types (e.g. Email, Databases, E-theses or Research Data
  • developed a workflow for migrating data from handheld media (e.g. using digital forensics tools)
  • developed an access workflow
  • a Preservation Planning workflow
  • developed a workflow for the induction of new digipres staff
  • workflows on any other aspect of digital preservation to share!

Workflows do not have to be well established within your organisations. Workflows which are in the early stages of development are welcome too, and this may be a useful opportunity to seek community input into your development!

We are keen to arrange webinars in time zones suitable for members in Australasia/Asia-Pacific, Europe and Africa, and the Americas… so if you are able to present your work outside your own time zone, please do let us know that too as that will help with scheduling.

If you would like to share your workflow as part of the webinar series, please contact Michael.Popham@dpconline.org for more details by Monday 9th December.
