Applications are invited for the post of Archivist (Academic and Public Engagement), within the University of Nottingham Manuscripts and Special Collections (MSC).

You will provide professional support to the Academic and Public Engagement team to raise the profile of MSC with internal and external audiences. You will collaborate with academic departments to increase research and teaching use of the collections. You will prepare and deliver our public engagement activities, promoting the collections to new and diverse audiences.
You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the public reading room to support the delivery of high-quality customer services. You will co-curate exhibitions. You will also be involved in the acquisition and cataloguing of archives, and development of online resources, digital access, and web content.
You will be passionate about archives and special collections with demonstrable experience of using them for research, teaching and public engagement. You will be a creative thinker with good interpersonal skills, confident speaking to a range of audiences including academics, students, colleagues, and the general public. Experience of using technology to widen access to collections would be an advantage.
