Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University? We have an exciting opportunity in the University Library for someone with a passion for archives. The role involves supporting all aspects of the care, management and preservation of our archive collections and their use by the public and researchers. You will play a key role in the development of our archives in line with best practice and recognised standards. This role is integral to the Library mission of enabling our University to access and use the information universe for the creation, application and communication of knowledge, particularly through Special Collections, Heritage and Archive’s aims of increasing the cultural impact and engagement of our special collections, heritage and archives and increasing the digital and physical accessibility of our collections. We are seeking candidates with a recognised professional qualification in archives and records management with detailed knowledge and experience of archive metadata creation to recognised international standards and the principles of archival arrangement and description, and the ability to advocate for and develop the digital preservation offer for SCHA.
