We are seeking a Digital Archives Assistant to work with the Digital Curation team to support workflows and processes for the acquisition and ongoing stewardship of born-digital collection material across the Library, with a focus on transfer and preparation for ingestion. 

About you  

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:  

  • Applied knowledge of international standards and best practice relating to preservation of digital materials in a library or archive environment including metadata, file formats and technical specifications 

  • Capacity to work effectively with software and hardware tools used in digital preservation workflows 

  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve technical issues relating to software and hardware tools 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience managing born-digital collections
