The ABC is transforming its Archives to create a digital ABC Archives that is more discoverable and accessible. To support the transition to digital and into the organisation moving forward, the ABC is seeking a Digital Collections and Curation Manager to join their newly formed ABC Archives team on a full-time, permanent basis. This team will be accountable for curated content assets in CoDA (Content Digital Archive) and will add quality and context to storytelling through fast and effective discovery and access to high quality content for users.
About the Role
Reporting to the ABC Archives Manager, you will:

Lead the development, monitoring and review of ABC Archive collections including end to end appraisal, selection, cataloguing and disposal workflows.

Lead and manage the CoDA Curation and support team including capability development and performance management.

Provide expert advice on how to best to manage digital content collections including description and disposal.

Work with the CoDA Development team to contribute to planning and development of CoDA features enabling best practice collection management.
About You
You have significant experience in managing digital collections as well as digital asset management infrastructure. You will be able to demonstrate:

A comprehensive understanding of collection management, including experience in managing digital collections as well as digital asset management infrastructure.

Experience in the delivery of services for content makers and the ability to respond strategically to content making needs in a broadcast and production environment.

Proven leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to provide a high level of reporting and advice on future directions.
