This is an exciting opportunity to join a library team engaged in delivering their vision for 2030: Knowledge for All. As Library Digital Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and oversight of digital transformation projects and initiatives within the service. Your initial focus will be on the leadership and delivery of the ‘Digital Library Infrastructure Project’ a cornerstone project to support the University in meeting the objectives set out in the Digital Transformation component of the Universal Values, Global Changes, University of Leeds Strategy 2020 to 2030. You will help implement the Digital Futures strand of the Libraries vision ‘Knowledge for All’, delivering a sustainable digital libraries research and education infrastructure, responds to the rapidly changing expectations our students, staff, and partners, and support the aims of University’s strategy.

You will have significant experience of building and leading teams to deliver digital transformational change projects combined with experience of implementing new digital library and cultural heritage technologies.  You will act as the bridge between the subject matter experts and the technical team and will therefore need excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be a skilled communicator with excellent change management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.  

You will also be familiar with cultural heritage digital technologies, ideally with experience of digital asset management, digital preservation, digital scholarship, data handling using different data schemas, and IIIF (the International Image Interoperability Framework).
