The Digital Preservation Technical Specialist co-manages the Rosetta application and technical infrastructure used for the Library’s digital preservation programme. This programme supports the protection of, and long-term access to the National Library’s digital collections.
This person will:
· Work closely with a second Digital Preservation Technical Specialist to monitor the Library’s technical infrastructure that uses the Ex Libris Rosetta preservation solution
· Work closely with Technology Services and Solutions (TSS) and vendors to troubleshoot and fix problems
· Plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes, upgrades and new services
· Maintain and audit user accounts
· Maintain system documentation
· Automate processes
· Liaise and collaborate with staff throughout the Library and externally
· Contribute to business planning through digital storage projections, infrastructure roadmaps, technology watches and strategic roadmaps
· Participate in a team of digital preservation specialists
· Participate in Library, regional and international working groups and projects
