The ABC is transforming its Archives to create a digital ABC Archives that is more discoverable and accessible. To support the transition to digital and on-demand services and embed new practices into the organisation moving forward, the ABC is seeking a CoDA (Content Digital Archive) Quality Assurance Officer to join their Digital Collections & Curation team on a full-time, permanent basis. Appropriate support and mentoring will be provided to facilitate your success in this role. This team will be responsible for AV Records management, as well as management and migration of the ABC's content assets into CoDA.
About the Role
Reporting to the QC, Workflows and Data Analytics Lead, you will:

Build, maintain and manage digital collections in CoDA ensuring maximum discoverability for users across the ABC.

Work with QC,Workflows and Data Analytics Lead to enable workflows to allow mass delivery of digital born files from unofficial storage repositories to CoDA and/or CoDA Workspaces.

Assist with the enhancement of metadata to enable discoverability where required.

Resolve data merge issues, ensuring digitised files are delivered to the correct records in CoDA.
About You
You're passionate about sourcing and archiving authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities. You'll be able to demonstrate:

Sound knowledge of digitisation technology and preservation issues relating to digital document and image content.

An understanding of conversion of physical to digital and associated QC processes as well as delivery of digital born content and metadata via systems including IMS, MAM, wCMS and Mulesoft.

Computer literacy and experience with digital AV files.

Sound communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
