Are you an effective communicator with experience of developing successful partnerships and networks? Do you possess strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate others to deliver strategic goals?

The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world.  We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a library team engaged in delivering their vision for 2030: Knowledge for All. As Head of Research Services (Open Research), you will help lead on change for the institution through the development and embedding of open research practices across the University. You will lead and manage a team of staff and will be responsible for co-ordinating the following areas: research data management, funder compliance, and the expansion of open access. You will manage and establish relationships, partnerships, and collaborations across the faculties and professional services at the University of Leeds, as well as external to the institution. You will work closely with the Head of Research Services (Research Intelligence) to deliver seamless services to the research community, whilst leading separate but complimentary research services portfolios.

You will have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of open research principles and practices combined with experience of leading and developing a high-quality, user-focussed research service.  You will posses strong leadership and people management skills and have the ability to establish and maintain broad-based, successful partnerships and networks.
