This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent provides preservation oversight and liaison to major programs segments of the National Archives and may serve as a project director or team member of preservation and archival research and evaluation study teams analyzing issues that have agency-wide and/or government-wide impact. Preservation Program Officer will work with a wide variety of media in Archives holdings, especially objects and artifacts.
As a Preservation Program Officer, you will:

Work collaboratively in assigned programs to design and implement strategies for the effective and efficient preservation of records.

Provide preservation guidance and assistance to Division Directors, archivists, and technicians.

Direct, coordinate, or participate in preservation projects and studies designed to resolve complex problems affecting the long-term preservation of NARA holdings.
