Lancaster University Library is seeking to appoint to the role of Special Collections and Archives Manager. This is a new post, that will play a key role in shaping the future for all physical Special Collections and Archives managed by the Library and for Lancaster Digital Collections.
You will be responsible for operational management of the archives, leading on all aspects of Special Collections development, management, and preservation. You will contribute to developing a comprehensive Special Collections & Archives service to ensure the innovative and creative use of the collections to support the library’s vision, The Library Towards 2025, and the University’s strategic objectives in relation to teaching, research and engagement
You should have a professional qualification in archives or records management or equivalent relevant experience of working in an archive or heritage environment.
