Michael will be well known to the DPC membership and the wider digital preservation and archives community from his recent work at the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford.

With over 25 years’ experience in information management, Michael brings considerable expertise to the DPC team. In his new role, Michael joins the NDA project team; researching and advising on good practice in digital preservation. Working in partnership with the NDA, and embedded within the DPC team, he will support the NDA to achieve documented goals for innovation and capability in digital preservation.

“I am really looking forward to joining the DPC, and to starting work on this important and challenging project,” Michael says. “I hope to be able to draw upon the collective wisdom and insights of the DPC members, and to share the project's findings with everyone.”

“I am delighted to have someone with such a wealth of digital preservation knowledge and experience joining the team and I know he is going to be a huge asset to the NDA project,” says Jenny Mitcham, Head of Good Practice and Standards and NDA project lead for the DPC. “I am sure staff and members alike will give him a warm welcome in this new role, and we all look forward to working with him enormously.”
