The DPC renews its leadership each year allowing members to guide and review our programmes.  We are pleased to announce a number of changes at the start of this exciting 20th Anniversary year:

Executive Board

Edith Halvarsson from the Bodleian Libraries and Leslie Johnston from the US National Archives and Records Administration have been nominated to join the DPC Board from March, while Simon Tucker will be stepping down on 24th March.

Sub-Committees

The DPC strives to be open, honest and inclusive in everything we do, and our four Sub-Committees are an important way of involving members in the way the DPC is run. Following the call to refresh the DPC’s Sub-Committee membership in January, we are pleased to announce the new additions to our line up.

Lisa Griffith from the Digital Repository of Ireland, Mark Reynolds from the Houses of the Oireachtas and Thomas Shaw at Lancaster University join the Advocacy and Community Engagement Sub-Committee which is chaired by Paul Stokes from Jisc and facilitated by Sarah Middleton.

Facilitated by Paul Wheatley and Jenny Mitcham, the Research and Practice Sub-Committee gains a new Chair in Tuan Pham from the University of Cambridge. He is joined by Ifor Ap Daffydd, from the National Library of Wales, Catherine Jones of STFC/UKRI, Alexander Roberts at Swansea University, Tamara van Zwol from the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and Elizabeth England at US NARA who has transferred from the Advocacy & Community Engagement Sub-Committee.

Lauren Curless from the National Film and Sound Archive in Australia, Kate Doughty from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Ruth Kusionowicz at East Sussex County Council and Daisy Selematsela at UNISA join the Workforce Development which is chaired by Susan Corrigall at the National Records of Scotland and facilitated by Sharon McMeekin.

And Fatima Darries from UNISA, Rowena Loo at the National Archives of Australia and Vicky Plaine of the BBC join the Management and Governance which is chaired by Tim Keefe at Chester Beatty Library and facilitated by John McMillan

A full list of all Sub-Committee Members can be found here.

The DPC would like to thank all of the former Sub-Committee members who have stepped down over the last year to allow new members to take their turn, namely: Adam Harwood, University of Sussex; Alexandra Mitchell, Salford university; Beth Brunton, The UK National Archives; Kirsty Lingstadt, University of York; Peter Clarke, University College Dublin; Robbie Ireland, BBC; Laura Peaurt, University of Nottingham; Jenny Bunn, University College London; Jennifer Febles, HSBC; Martin Donnelly, University of Edinburgh; Maureen Pennock, British Library; Phil Greatorex, NDA; Jez Cope, British Library and Tim Mifsud, national Archives of Australia. They have each brought lively debate and creative ideas to our discussions and we are very grateful for their contributions.

We welcome each of our new Sub-Committee members and we look forward to working together with our members in what is an exciting time in the DPC's development.
