The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the Heritage Conservation Centre (HCC) as they become the Coalition’s newest Full Member.HCC Singapore logo

As Singapore's leading institution for preserving and conserving heritage and visual art collections, HCC is home to the cultural heritage of the Singapore National Collection. The Centre is the first of its kind in the region which combines a centralised collections repository with conservation laboratories under one roof, ensuring accessibility to the National Collection while sharing knowledge about heritage care throughout Singapore and the region.

“The Heritage Conservation Centre, an institution under Singapore’s National Heritage Board, is excited to join the Digital Preservation Coalition. We have a small, but growing, collection of Time-Based Media and see the partnership with the DPC as instrumental in addressing the needs of this collection and steering practices towards the better conservation of future artworks”, says Marion Cruz, HCC´s Conservator of the Digital and Time-Based Media Collection.

Robin Wright, Head of DPC Australasia and Asia-Pacific, welcomed the Heritage Conservation Centre to the Coalition, saying: "It's wonderful to see our community growing in Southeast Asia. HCC’s membership strengthens the DPC's global network and enhances knowledge sharing in digital preservation across international boundaries. I look forward to working alongside the HCC team, advancing digital preservation practices together."

The DPC is an international charitable foundation which supports digital preservation, helping its members around the world to deliver resilient long-term access to digital content and services through community engagement, targeted advocacy work, training and workforce development, capacity building, good practice and standards, and through good management and governance. Its vision is a secure digital legacy.
