The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Library, as they become the newest Associate Member of the Coalition.
ICAEW is a professional membership organisation that provides training, support, and resources for chartered accountants and students around the world. Founded in 1871, its Library is one of the largest accountancy libraries in the world.
The ICAEW Library supports education and research in the field of accountancy and related business subjects through its extensive print collection and by opening up its collection online. The ICAEW digital archive the library are building includes an extensive and growing collection of magazines, research papers, technical releases, videos and website content.
“The ICAEW Library has always appreciated the assistance that the DPC provides to those starting out on the digital preservation journey, as well as to the growing community of digital archivists.” says Jonathan Bushell, ICAEW’s Head of Curation and Library Collection. “We look forward to closer collaboration in the future.”
On behalf of the DPC, Juan Bicarregui extended a warm welcome to ICAEW, stating:
"As one of the leading accounting institutes globally, I am delighted that ICAEW has become a member of the DPC community. We are excited to learn about their work and to collaborate in advocating for digital preservation across this sector and others."
