In a week where DPC Members in the Americas gathered for exciting events in New York City and Washington DC, meeting for the first time under the DPC's new Americas program, we are pleased to announce NYU Libraries' membership to the Coalition.

As a comprehensive academic library system, NYU Libraries serves one of the largest private universities in the United States, providing extensive resources, services, and an expansive collection to support the specific research needs of the university's diverse academic community. NYU Libraries maintains a robust digital preservation program to ensure long-term, equitable access to digital collections that are essential for cultural, historical, and research purposes.

NYU’s Digital Preservation Librarian Margo Padilla states: “We are thrilled to be joining the DPC as it expands its presence in the Americas, and to be joining with experts and practitioners around the world as we meet the challenges of digital preservation.”

“We admire the efforts the DPC has made promoting digital preservation concepts and strategies, and the expansion of various tools and services. We look forward to joining the DPC and advancing our work by learning from and contributing to the vast knowledge base available within the DPC network.”

Anna Perricci, Head of DPC Americas, welcomed New York University Libraries to the Coalition, saying: “NYU Libraries join an active and dynamic group of DPC Members across the Americas, and I look forward to sharing knowledge and working together with them to support and amplify a community of practice for digital preservation in the region.”

The DPC is an international charitable foundation which supports digital preservation, helping its members around the world to deliver resilient long-term access to digital content and services through community engagement, targeted advocacy work, training and workforce development, capacity building, good practice and standards, and through good management and governance.
