Are you interested in Generative AI for Cultural Heritage (CH)? Are you concerned about potential harms of incorporating Generative AI within your sector? Join the PHAWM project in an upcoming ONLINE workshop on auditing Gen-AI for CH.

In this workshop, participants are invited to think about information required to audit harms, scenarios of how harm auditing would happen in their organisational context and propose how this information might be organised to facilitate auditing generative AI use in a Cultural Heritage context. Participants will generalise to one or two prioritised harms associated with metadata generation. They will incorporate this into the context of auditing scenarios aligning with Cultural Heritage workflows, finally leading to proposed layouts and designs.

Project Description: The PHAWM project is organising a series of workshops to co-design approaches for auditing AI tools for the generation of metadata relevant to Cultural Heritage collections. If you are a cultural heritage professional (e.g., archivist, curator, librarian, or exhibition designer) working with metadata or relevant policies. PHAWM aims to establish novel auditing methodologies and tools to give Cultural Heritage stakeholders the ability to assess potential harms that AI may cause within their sectors.

Workshop Details: This interactive workshop ‘Gen-AI for Cultural Heritage: Uses, Harms, Auditing’ is scheduled on Tuesday 10 Dec 2024 from 12:30 to 15:30 (Onlione). Participation in the workshop is free, but you need to register as places are limited.
