Rapid Assessment Model 3.0: now available in multiple languages!

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to share translations of the Rapid Assessment Model (RAM) in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese and Turkish. The translations have been made available thanks to the generous volunteer efforts of members of the digital preservation community.
#DPConnect Update – Moving to a monthly schedule from May 2025

We are delighted to invite DPC Members to our DPC Members Forum and Networking Event in The Hague, The Netherlands on June 4th and 5th, 2025!
This face-to-face event will take place over the course of two days and forms part of a worldwide event series, with further DPC Members Fora taking place in the Americas and the Australasia and Asia-Pacific region.
New Digital Preservation Learning Resources Portal

The DPC is pleased to announce a new community resource aimed at helping digital preservation practitioners find professional development opportunities.
Originally developed as part of the iPRES 2024 Start to Preserve stream and now being officially launched, the new DigiPres Learning Resources Portal aims to help digital preservation practitioners, educators, and students find training and development opportunities and content. The DPC will host and maintain this new resource, and it is open to anyone working in digital preservation and related disciplines to use and edit.
The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) joins the Digital Preservation Coalition

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) as they become the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.
Established in 2005, the Pension Protection Fund serves as a safety net for millions of UK citizens, ensuring defined benefit pension scheme members receive compensation on their lost benefits if their employer becomes insolvent and the scheme is underfunded. Managing vast quantities of vital records, the PPF recognizes the critical importance of maintaining long-term access to its digital archives.

Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) Archives has joined the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), becoming the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.
RTÉ Archives is home to Ireland’s largest collection of audiovisual material. The Archives are responsible for collecting, preserving and making accessible the creative and documentary output of the national broadcaster. Combining hundreds of thousands of hours of moving image and sound recordings together with significant collections of photographs, manuscripts and administrative documents, RTÉ Archives contain a unique record of Irish life.
