The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is deeply concerned by Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the ongoing military operations and the escalation of violence that has ensued. The Secretary-General of the United Nations has described these operations as violations of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, stating plainly that they are inconsistent with the Charter of the United Nations.  We join him and many other leaders, agencies and colleagues around the world in calling for an immediate cessation.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce that DNA storage provider, Twist Bioscience, is the newest organization to join its Supporter Program.

Twist Bioscience provides synthetic DNA to those working in the fields of health care, agriculture, industrial chemicals, and academic research, and has recently announced a data storage offering, the Century Archive solution. The Digital Preservation Coalition celebrates 20 years since its foundation this week!

Officially launched in February 2002, the DPC was charged with fostering joint action to address the urgent challenges of securing the preservation of digital resources in the UK and to work with others internationally to secure our global digital memory and knowledge base.
