Adding to a range of other translated resources, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to share a German translation of Core requirements for a digital preservation system, part of the popular Procurement Toolkit.

The ten core requirements offer a structure for describing preservation system requirements in a standardized manner and may be used to organize and communicate requirements clearly, without reinventing the wheel.

The Operational Preservation Systems Working Group will provide a regular forum for DPC Members to discuss issues relating to the everyday management, configuration and trouble shooting associated with digital preservation systems. It will provide an opportunity to share experiences, discuss good practice, and identify and address common problems. This Group is aimed at Members with established preservation systems - selecting or procuring a system is out of scope for this group.

The DPC is pleased to offer a new Career Development Fund grant for the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) 2023 Conference (#IRMS2023), 14-16 May, at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester, UK.

The grant will cover 100% of the registration fees as well as a contribution towards travel. More details about the grant are provided below, and applications are welcomed from DPC members until the grant application deadline of 7:00 UTC on 21st February 2023.
