Kate Murray elected new Vice Chair for the Digital Preservation Coalition

Kate Murray of the Library of Congress was elected as the new Vice Chair of the DPC Board at the Annual General Meeting of the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) this week. Kate will be familiar to many people within the digital preservation community for her work on the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI), leading the Sustainability of Digital Formats resource, as well as for her role as co-chair of the Email Preservation Task force which DPC co-sponsored in 2016.

Queen Mary University of London joins the Digital Preservation Coalition

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes Queen Mary University of London’s Library Services, as they become the newest Associate Member of the Coalition.
Queen Mary’s Library Services is custodian of institutional and cultural archives, artworks and other artefacts, as well as research data and other original digital assets. With the growth of ’digital first’ and digital only records and research assets, the University is exploring how to ensure sustainable access to assets for now and in the future. With plans to build end- to- end digital preservation into processes, policies and procedures, Queen Mary’s Library Services will be implementing improved processes and technical solutions for digital asset management over the coming years.
The Digital Preservation Coalition welcomes the National Library of Norway

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome the National Library of Norway (NLN) as its newest Associate Member this month.
The NLN is the official custodian of Norway’s documentary heritage; with legal responsibility for collecting, preserving, and providing access to all published material in Norway. The NLN is located in Oslo and Mo i Rana.
